When looking for the answer to a question, it is important to consider if the true task is to look for another question.

An officer in the army was sent to the desert to lead troops during the war.

When leaving his tent for a battle, he did not know that instead of picking up his clear desert goggles, he had picked up his tinted yellow goggles.

On the way to the battle he received a report that enemy soldiers wearing yellow uniforms would be in the area.

When he arrived at the battle front, he excitedly jumped up and gave an order to fire in all directions, as the enemy could be seen everywhere.

His General quickly cancelled the order and walked up to him and told him to stand at attention.

The officer obeyed, but also asked the general : Sir! Why is the enemy in all directions?!

The general pulled the yellow tinted glasses from the officers eyes and handed them to him.

The better question to ask, Captain, is why you see the enemy in all directions.
